2023 Viognier

Huerhuero Vineyard

Varietal - Viognier Estate Collection

Viognier is planted at the highest point in our estate Huerhuero Vineyard and benefits from the cooling Pacific breezes that blow through the Templeton Gap in the afternoon.

About

The fruit was handpicked in mid-September during the cool night-time temperatures. Upon harvest, the fruit was gently pressed and the juice was cold settled, racked, and then cold fermented in stainless steel tanks with a selected yeast strain to complement the expressive varietal fruit. The wine was further cold aged sur lie in small stainless steel tanks until bottling to enhance mouthfeel and preserve freshness.

A rich vibrant example of this Rhône variety.
