May 19: Nathan Towne

21 year old Nathan Towne started playing piano at the age of four. His mother, Yolanda, who holds a degree in Music and Dance Performance, was his first teacher who shared her love of classical music, as well as a passion for The Beatles with him. His father Tim, a very capable drummer, brought him a used guitar at the age of eight. Studying players such as Joe Satriani, Joe Pass, Steve Hackett, Alan Holdsworth, Hendrix, and SRV, Nathan has been developing a well-rounded style beyond his years. He plays a wide variety of instruments including but not limited to guitar, bass, drums, piano, cello, violin, mandolin, and ukulele in his original recordings. Nathan is also part of the popular latin guitar group: Calmenco! A “Riverdance” of Guitars.

Join us for an afternoon of photography and wine as we celebrate our latest art exhibit "A Retrospect of Jeff Broome Photography."

Being born and raised in Monterey, Jeffrey was introduced to photography at a very early age. He holds a Master of Art Degree, is a college adjunct professor of digital photography and has worked with talents such as Ansel Adams. He has maintained a commercial photography studio for the last 28 years, his fine art photographs have shown nationally, and his commercial photography has been recipient of a national award as well as dozens of regional awards.

June 2: Lynne & Darren McGovern

Lynne and Darren have both been singing in various situations for years. Recently, Darren has released 2 solo albums. His songs have been featured in both Television and Film. Lynne and Darren have been singing together for over 15 years. They sing many classic songs from bands such as CSN&Y, Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Joni Mitchell as well as Darren’s songs.

Artists' Reception & Awards Presentation

Join us in celebrating the opening of our latest art exhibit presented by the Paso Robles Art Association,

From Shore to Vine. . . Summer on the Central Coast,

celebrating the Central Coast's most playful season of the year and the bounty our region has to offer. This show was open to local artists and juried by Robert Reynolds, award-winning painter, author and Professor Emeritus at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

The evening will include complimentary light appetizers, wine tasting, and the awards presentation. This event is open to the public and no RSVPs are required.

This exhibit is viewable in form of a self-guided tour daily at The Gallery at Vina Robles through September 9, 2012.

June 30: Melanie Devaney

Melanie Devaney is an intuitive and unique songwriter whose lyrics and melodies embrace the spirit of rural America with an ironic poetic polish and cosmopolitan flair. The strength of her music lies in her ability to create melodic twists that stay in the listener’s head for weeks. Some of her achievements include winning the 2007 Colgate Country Showdown and an honorable mention for her song “Right Here On the Farm” in the 2006 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition.

Melanie’s amazing lyrics and vocals are sure to provide a toe-tapping, fun listening experience for all ages.

July 14: Jordan Traub

Jordan Traub, a Central Coast native, has been writing original music and playing the most crowd pleasing cover songs for the past 10 years. Jordan has shared the stage with local artists such as Still Time and Chase McBride, as well as regional artists such as Matt Costa and Iration. His presence on stage jumps out to captivate the crowd leaving every individual feeling as if they were the only one in the room. Whether it is a packed Hollywood club, a sunny winery, or a quiet saloon, Jordan adapts to the environment and enhances the ambiance.

Jill was just recently nominated for the LA music awards “best female vocalist”, and was also a finalist at the Telluride Troubadour competition, the National Academy of Songwriters "songwriter of the year" competition, and in the Billboard magazines, "best unsigned band" contest. Her CD “Future Project” was also a regional best seller in Album Network magazine among receiving a handful of other reputable accolades. We are certain that you will enjoy her wonderfully soulful and eclectic folk sound.

Mike Annuzzi is a San Francisco Bay Area native who has built a solid grassroots following as an independent artist and songwriter in California. He has performed at various venues around the state and has thereby shared stages with artists including Tyrone Wells, Jackie Greene, Trevor Hall, Sean Hayes, Jay Nash, The B Foundation, and The White Buffalo. Mike was recently honored with West Coast Songwriter's San Francisco's Song of the Year. We are looking forward to enjoying his acoustic tunes at Vina Robles.

4^th Annual British Invasion

September 8: Cinder Jean & Robert Thomas

Cinder Jean and Robert Thomas have been performing n Santa Barbara as a duo for several years now. Although Cinder and Robert both come from different musical backgrounds - Cinder comes from a contemporary jazz, folk roots and Robert comes from a Texas blues roots background – the two have merged their styles together to create a harmonic convergence that is truly unique to the listener. They not only play blues, originals, and Hawaiian-slack key guitar together, but have also been writing, recording and composing. Cinder and Robert have just released a new CD, called My Hawaiian Hut, together, which is also available on iTunes.

Illuminating Evening

Brighten your holiday season with Vina Robles and join us for our annual Illuminating Evening.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a mug of hot chocolate and cookies before enjoying special holiday music and dance performances. The highlight of the evening will be the traditional ceremonial lighting of our towering Christmas tree. Wine available for purchase by the glass or bottle. No RSVP is necessary.

In the spirit of the season, we will be accepting donations of unwrapped toys for our local Toys
